What the fee buys, and the one way it comes back
The operator offers two ways to reach a shipping figure from the same page. One of them costs CNY 20 and produces an estimate; the other costs nothing extra and produces a packed parcel. A simulated pack, not a real one
On request the warehouse performs a simulated packing process in advance and estimates the parcel volume, weight and shipping cost, based on the current order contents. The fee covers that packing, measuring and quotation work.
For reference only, in the policy own words
It does not constitute an actual shipping service, and all rehearsal results are provided solely for advance estimation purposes. Nothing has been reserved, booked or committed to by paying it.
There is none, but there is a deduction
If you then formally submit the same parcel and enter the formal shipping process, the CNY 20 may be fully deducted from the final actual shipping fee. That is the only route by which the money comes back to you.
And if you do not proceed with that parcel
If the parcel is not taken forward, or is cancelled afterwards, the CNY 20 is non-refundable. The word in the policy is non-refundable, not pending or creditable.
The clause that spends the fee for you
This is the sentence worth reading twice before paying. It does not require you to cancel anything. Adjusting the order is enough, and the list of adjustments is open-ended. - THE TRIGGER
Cancelling, or any adjustment to the related order
The policy wording is "including but not limited to returns, replacing items, or changing item quantities". Three examples, and an explicit signal that the three are not the whole list.
- THE RESULT
Three things happen at once
The current rehearsal service is terminated. The CNY 20 will not be refunded or waived. The current rehearsal result may become invalid, which means the number you paid for is no longer a number you can rely on.
- THE REMEDY
Which is to pay again
A new rehearsal request must be submitted and the corresponding fee paid again. The policy own advice is to avoid adjusting the order after applying for a rehearsal, which is as close as a terms page gets to telling you when to buy something.
When a rehearsal is useful
The deduction rule makes this cheaper than it looks in one specific case and a pure loss in another. The difference is not the parcel. It is whether you have stopped changing the order.
The order is finished and the parcel is awkward
settledNothing left to add, nothing left to swap, and a shape or weight unusual enough that an estimate is genuinely a guess. The dated policy says the rehearsal fee may be deducted when the same parcel proceeds; confirm the applicable settlement in your account.
You are still adding things
still movingThen the next addition terminates the service and takes the CNY 20 with it. Paying for a rehearsal while an order is still in motion buys an estimate with a shelf life measured in whatever you do next.
What the estimate does not promise
Even an untouched rehearsal result is not a quotation. The policy says so directly, and names what can move the real figure afterwards.
It is not a final shipping quotation
Rehearsal results do not constitute a final shipping quotation or a shipping commitment. The figure that counts is the one shown when international shipment is confirmed.
Four things that can change the real amount
Final measurement data, logistics channel adjustments, exchange rate fluctuations, or other uncontrollable factors. The first of those is the warehouse measuring the same box again, in earnest.
And the settlement rule is the same
After formal submission the final shipping fee rests on actual packed weight, volume and logistics calculation, settled as refund for any excess and payment for any shortfall. A rehearsal narrows that gap; it does not close it.
Finish the item list before asking for a rehearsal.
Consider three received items and one seller order still on the way. The rehearsal can describe the parcel you actually submit for that service. It cannot settle the dimensions of an item that has not arrived. Decide whether to ship the three or wait for the fourth before treating the estimate as the basis for a route comparison.
If you later add or remove an item, change its quantity or request a return, check whether that adjustment ends the existing rehearsal under the policy. Keep the original item list and ask what a new estimate would involve. The same fee appearing twice in different policies does not mean it pays for the same service.
Compare the estimated and final record using the route, item list, dimensions and weight. A difference can come from final packing, a changed channel or a changed currency/payment basis. Ask which line changed rather than treating every difference as an arithmetic mistake.
Before formal submission, settle questions about size, visible condition and packaging you want to retain. Once packing has started, an item change can have different practical and fee consequences. Confirm the particular order’s status instead of assuming that anything not yet dispatched is still freely editable.
